Selfhosted VMSS azure devops pool based on win2022 does not work with elevated UI tests - MS hosted runners do

Hi,

I am a little lost. I am trying to get a self hosted vmss pool based on the win2022 image for UI tests ( elevated ) going.
The MS hosted agents are working, and I can run elevated UI tests.
However my own image - which is 100% based on the code from the this repo with no changes - does not work.
The only difference I have seen was the MS hosted runner runs as "VssAdministrator" the self hosted one as "AzDevOps" which is due to the custom script extension setting the user to "AzDevOps"

So what is the magic you are doing in order to get elevated UI tests going?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
