It would be useful to write a TextMate grammar as supported by GitHub's Linguist library https://github.com/github/linguist/blob/master/CONTRIBUTING.md#fixing-syntax-highlighting , Visual Studio Code https://code.visualstudio.com/api/language-extensions/syntax-highlight-guide and other editors

@thejustinwalsch Would you consider contributing your TextMate grammar from https://github.com/thejustinwalsh/textproto-grammar/blob/main/syntaxes/textproto.tmLanguage.json to this upstream project? @jtattermusch may know more background about this repo.
